3rd Announcement!

Dear friends and colleagues,
Mallar4bThis is the 3rd and final Announcement for the 4th European Congress on Odonatology in Tyringe, Sweden in July. From now on we will not send any more announcements or information to those who haven’t registered, so if you want to keep up with information please visit the website, join the group on Facebook or the Facebook event or register for the congress.

EARLY REGISTRATION DEADLINE
We are pleased to announce that more than 70 people from 20 countries so far have registered for the ECOO16. Since we have had a flood of incoming abstracts we have decided to push the deadline for early registration forward. New deadline for early registration is May 15. The registration form is found here.

PROGRAM
A tentative program is out, but we cannot stress enough that it is a draft primarily to help people who do not know if they want to participate or not to get a glimpse of what the ECOO is all about. In other words, the program is very much still subject to change, since all incoming abstracts must be reviewed and approved.

It looks however very much like we will get a varied and very interesting program. If you have announced that you will be sending in an abstract but still have not, please do so promptly.

When all abstracts have been reviewed by the Scientific Committee, the program will take its final form, and all approved presentations in the program will be directly linked to the correlated abstract for everyone to download. Everyone who registers for the congress will of course on arrival get a printed book of abstracts.

Have a look at the draft program here.

CONGRESS FIELDS TRIPS
THE SOUTH EAST
We have received quite a few questions regarding this field trip, and hopefully most of them have now been answered. The field trip will go to the South Eastern provinces of Östergötland and the island of Öland, and includes visits to unique habitats. The Entomological Society of Östergötland will sponsor accommodation during parts of the trip. See the updated information here.

ABOVE THE POLAR CIRCLE
This field trip is full, but you are welcome to join us if you arrange your own transport and accommodation. Info here.

MID CONGRESS FIELD TRIP
This trip is being planned and if you are curious, have a look now and then on this page.

GRANTS
If you have submitted an abstract for a presentation or a poster, you still have the opportunity to apply for a grant. To get a grant your abstract must first be approved by the Scientific Committee. Questions? Contact Magnus.

The registration form on the website is updated with information on how to pay for your participation on ECOO16. It reads as follows: transfer your fee (early students €100, early non-student €190) to the account of Trollsländeföreningen (Swedish Dragonfly Society), Swedbank 5095-8826.
